  6. Registration:

  8. Compuserve members can register by going to SWREG
  9. and entering the ID#7591 for SCRNPIX.ZIP. See order
  10. form for additional instructions. Registration
  11. fee is $29 and includes free video CD, and gives 
  12. you access to the password feature and lets you
  13. set up an unlimited number of pictures in your
  14. playlist.

  17. Installation:
  18. ---------------
  19. To install SCREENPIX, unzip the 
  20. SCRNPIX.ZIP file you downloaded.
  21. Then run the SETUP.EXE program. 
  22. Follow the on-screen prompts.
  23. This will load the program onto
  24. your system. To keep file size small
  25. this version does not include the file
  26. ========VBRUN300.DLL,==========
  27. but it is *required* to run the program.
  28. This file must be in your \WINDOWS\SYSTEM directory.

  34. Description:
  35. ------------
  36. ScreenPix is a screen saver that will display
  37. any graphics files that you choose (BMP/JPG/TIF/
  38. PCX/GIF) Customize it to show just the pictures 
  39. you want. Choose the duration that the pictures 
  40. appear for. Decide if they should play in order 
  41. or randomly. Also works great as a slide show 
  42. program. Set it up and it will play through 
  43. your list of pictures continuously. JPG files 
  44. will take slightly longer to load since they
  45. have to be decompressed.

  49. Configuring Screen Saver:
  50. ==========================
  51. (Windows 3.1)
  52. To use the screen saver, double-click 
  53. CONTROL PANEL, usually in the MAIN group 
  54. on your desktop. When CONTROL PANEL opens, 
  55. double-click on DESKTOP to go into the 
  56. desktop configuration screen. About halfway 
  57. down the window, select the Screen Saver Name 
  58. drop-down box. You should find SCREENPIX in the 
  59. list. Select it. Now click on the SETUP button. 
  60. In the screen saver setup, you can adjust the
  61. settings to your preferences. Select the 
  62. Main Picture List button; then you can select 
  63. any graphic file on your hard drive, and see it in
  64. the Thumbnail Window. Click 'Add Picture' near the bottom 
  65. to add the picture to your playlist. The playlist will
  66. display the listed pictures when the screen
  67. saver kicks in. Click 'Setup Complete' when
  68. you are finished. That's it. Click EXIT and try the TEST
  69. button.

  71. Right-click the desktop to bring up the 
  72. display panel, or click the START button and
  73. choose Settings/Control Panel; from there you 
  74. can choose DISPLAY. With the Display Panel open,
  75. click on the Screen Saver Tab. Select SCREENPIX 
  76. from the drop down list of screen savers, and click
  77. Settings to setup. and Preview to test it.

  80. Removing ScreenPix:
  81. To remove ScreenPix from your system,
  82. delete the file SCREENPX.SCR from your
  83. \WINDOWS directory. 
  84. Delete the files GVBOX.VBX and GVJPEG.DLL from your
  85. \Windows\System directory.
  86. Also, delete the 
  87. directory you chose to install to (default
  88. C:\GALTWARE -- README & ORDER files
  89. are stored here).

  100. that time, you are required to purchase the

  105. software and distribute it to your friends 
  106. and co-workers, on electronic bulletin
  107. boards, over networks, and so on, as long 
  108. as the product is not distributed for
  109. profit (handling fees up to $5.00 ok).

  111. to distribute this installation executable 
  112. which contains the associated files together 
  113. as a group. You are not allowed to bundle 
  114. this software with other products without 
  115. prior written permission from Galt Technology.

  119. the software is recorded or distributed and 
  120. are entitled to use the software, but Galt 
  121. Technology retains title and ownership of 
  122. the original software and all subsequent copies.

  124. any copy. You are not allowed to make any 
  125. modifications to, or to create derivative 
  126. works from any of the files that are used 
  127. in this software. This includes all the 
  128. executable, help, installation, and readme 
  129. files, as well as video files.
